The doctors and the druggists are not doing enough to warn people about the opiates. I know from personal experience. I had an industrial accident. The doctor prescribed a 2 month subscription for an opiate. No warnings. The druggist filled it, no warnings. I noticed the label said "may be habit forming". I asked the druggist what that meant, he said after you get your arm healed, you'll have to get weaned off these pills. My reply, I weaned myself off of Marlboros and I'm not taking anything that I have to be weaned from. I went through the worst pain of my life, but I didn't have to go through any withdrawal. If you go to the dentist, they offer you prescription Tylenol, better check it, it probably started with an opioid.
