Another one bites the dust!

They finally closed Hardee's restaurant at the corner of Florence Blvd & Cox Creek but I doubt many will know because they had such little business.  It's really too bad because had they renovated or rebuilt the restaurant and paid attention to business then they might have been successful.  As for me I stopped, for the most part, visiting Hardee's when Star Hardees decided to eliminate Fried Chicken and Roast Beef from their menu selections.

Now, at the old Ruby  Tuesday's location Panda Express, a fast food, Chinese restaurant is due to open and before they even open have had an effect on the local market.  Genghis Grill has decided, as of Monday (yesterday) to close their doors and eliminate their Florence Location.  I don't know many people that bragged on Genghis Grill and it didn't seem that they had much business but I suppose that they saw the writing on the wall and figured that when Panda Express opens that they would lose even more of their business.

I hate to see businesses go under but that's just a matter of business and the free market of supply and demand so hopefully Panda Express will open soon and I hope they do good.  It appears that they are fairly close to opening so hopefully it won't be too long.   Also the new Mexican Restaurant in Florence Mall is well under way and will open soon.  I've heard from someone working at the location that they are very similar to a Mexican Restaurant that I knew when I lived in Atlanta and if that is so then it will be a very welcome addition to the quad cities area.
