It is not that I have a problem so much with havihg to have an ID, it is just that for a lot of people an ID may not be readily avaliable. For example, in a lot of big cities, there is a lot of people who don't drive - don't need to as they can get around on the public transportation. so, for those people, and for a lot of older and pooer people, it is downright inconvenient to go get a picture ID, and in some cases it cost money (read that poll tax).

Also, as part of this, a lot of picture ID's are not accepted, some recent news articles in USA Today have mentioned veterns denied their rights , some even had a government issued picture ID, but the states wouldn't recognize it.

Add to that, that Gov Scott in Fla who issued a "purge"order to the sec of state to rid the state of "questionable" voters, and of course by that he meant black voters.

I think it all adds up to an attempt to disenfranchise a lot of rightful voters , mostly old, poor, and or black. You know, likely Democratic voters and most of which would not raise a ruckus , just bow their heads and go home.

On the other hand, I'm not all that worried for myself, I'm white, not too old, and can become quite obnoxious when someone is trying to screw over me, a trait I learned from an old boss who had a MBA from Harvard where they actually teach people how to be obnoxious by asking questions that have no good answer.
