Reply to "Asylum seekers in Canada who fled Trump now trapped in legal limbo-"

The real crazy thing is most people, Democrats, Republicans, Conservatives, Liberals, most (not all) people if they absolutely didn't know another person's political beliefs or religious beliefs and neither came up would most likely get along famously with the very person they decry and hate based upon those political issues.  They would be great friends and defend the person if that person was attacked but just add Politics or Religion into the equation and our pre-conceived biases and prejudicial opinions, often themselves based in third party information that may or may not be correct, make those very same people the most horrible individuals occupying the planet.

Most people develop their opinions about the person or politicians base entirely on what they hear from people or sources that are already highly biased.  Trump, at one time, was a Democrat and endorsed many liberal causes and supported many liberal candidates and was a champion of many or most Democrats.  NBC was in love with Trump and he was helping them out but just let Trump announce he is running for President, as a Republican and endorsing some Conservative issues and opinions and he goes from hero to goat and the worst person in the world or that has been born.

It doesn't have to be Donald Trump but put anyone's name in there and it applies to Democrats as it does also to Republicans.  The same, I believe, also applies with respect to Religion.  There are people on here, this forum, that I believe would famously get along and be friends and supportive of each other if it were not for various post and positions on the Political or Religion forum.  Not that it's strange but it is unfortunate and reflects our passions and the degree to which many of us hold to our personal beliefs and opinions.

So how does this apply to this topic or thread?  Here many people (now and before) make such huge, life changing decisions, based upon a simple election and the election of a person that they actually, most likely, know absolutely nothing about or what they are actually, really, like but are basing their opinions on third party information, or worse, advice.  True the election of a specific Party's person will affect various policies and the way money is spent from Washington but to leave the Country is a huge decision but then many people that up and leave like that don't have jobs, are homeless, or really have not much to leave behind in the first place.
