Being originally from Florence, but having been gone for quite a few years, I always preferred Bunyan's and D*i*c*k Howell's. But I grew up around the corner from Wright's, and their BBQ was good, and since they "press" their sandwiches almost like a grilled cheese, their BBQ sandwiches are the only ones I have ever had anywhere that I could eat will riding in a car and not make a mess! Heck, I don't even like to eat a hamburger in car normally.

Eating in a car does not come naturally to most folks.  To do it right, and neatly, requires considerable practice.

I once ate a half rack of Dreamland ribs while driving from Birmingham to Montgomery on Interstate 65 without getting any food on me or any part of the car--or rear-ending a school bus. I have eaten a foot-long Subway meatball marinara sub while driving, with the same outcome.  It just takes some practice and good manual dexterity. With age and experience. true talent comes out!

OMG old dude! What a tall tale. Age just brought you a meaner personality. They give people tickets for eating while driving, and rightfully so.

"They" were nowhere in sight and  if "they" had been, they would not have seen me, as furtively as I ate.  Not getting caught is part of the holistic ritual of eating while driving.
