For the most part, you are right. I liken it to a "spitting contest" -- like kids on the playground seeing who can spit the farthest.
Or, you may look at it like "spitting into the wind" -- where most ends up in your own face.
However, a good dialogue can be very fruitful -- for we never know when one tiny seed of knowledge, or Biblical truth, will land in fertile soil -- and a soul be led toward the Lord.
I have one man on my Friends Ministry mail list who tells me that my eNewsletter e-mails brought him back into fellowship with the Lord. What did I write that did this? I have no idea -- it could be just a word, a suggestion, or a Scripture verse shared at the right moment.
So, the Religion Forum is a very worthwhile venue for sharing.
