I visited the mall yesterday. The place looked empty, it seems the new owners have run off business there.

I don't know what's going on with the new Mall owners. I knew the old Mall manager and found out that he had been let go from his wife so as for what's going on I don't know anymore. I know it sounds like a broken record but I'll say again that often the poorest of management decisions wreck a business which is aptly demonstrated by IHOP's choice of opening management when they opened the IHOP in Florence. Could be location also had a part to play in it but every time I pass the IHOP in Decatur it seems it's packed out with business and the one here closed up so fast I don't think they ever gave it a chance to succeed.

I still don't know if the local IHOP was a franchise or corporate store. I suppose now that location is destined to always be some kind of automotive dealership.
