Even if it's not a landlord conspiracy, it's not surprising. Best Buy has a mediocre selection, crappy prices unless they're having a clearance sale, and terrible support & service. The worst customer service I've ever experienced has been from Best Buy stores.
Besides, it's not like anyone in this area would buy from them when they could get their movies/electronics from Amazon or Wal-Mart. I mean Wal-Mart's sales are strong enough to support three stores in this one little podunk town because most people don't shop anywhere else. Or in many cases, CAN'T shop anywhere else. They will just continue growing and eating everyone's lunch until there's nothing left but them.
Anyone know what's going in next to Target? Is it the rumored PetSmart? Mark my words, next we're going to see a showdown between the sporting goods stores (Hibbetts, ****s, and Sports Authority) and between the pet stores. (Petco, Petsmart, and Pet Depot) The local ecosystem can't support so many big chain stores. Someone's gotta go, and it's probably gonna be the smaller, local stores first.
