Golden Corral is a privately held company, so information isn't that easy to get. They got their start as a food distribution company similar to Sysco, but quickly evaluated the situation and cut out the middle man by starting the Golden Corral franchise. All stores are privately owned. And the food is the best you can get for the money. The waitresses deserve tips as they not only bring you drink refills and coffee, but also man the serving line, the cash registers, and handle all cleanup. I've known two Golden Corral owners personally and can vouch for their locations in central Florida! When the local franchise opens, I'l be one of their best customers!
