Then whatever you and your coworkers produce had better sell well enough that you deserve a raise. Union member or not, the realities of the marketplace can't be legislated away. If your skills are cheaper elsewhere, fuhgettaboutit on that raise; but if your skills are enough in demand elsewhere, you and your coworkers can demand more pay or find a better employer.
