While driving to Florence today the wife and I noticed that the Florence Hardee's signage on the building and by the street has been removed and the location closed. I've wondered for a long while now, even made a post or two on here about it, how the restaurant even stayed open as long as it did because there was hardly any business at anytime we passed it.
There was a time, before Bojangles, when Hardee's seemed to own the breakfast business in Florence but those days are long gone. Today it seems that the bulk of the Breakfast business is split mainly between Jack's and Bojangles. I would say McDonalds comes in third followed by Waffle House and then Cracker Barrel.
The Tuscumbia, Rogersville or Hwy 43 Tennessee Hardees locations may still do a pretty fair breakfast business but the Florence location has been dead for a long time and now it appears they have eliminated the Florence location. I doubt they will rebuild another Hardees in that location because I doubt they have any evidence that a new building would change the Florence locations business.
