Depends on ones point of view. To the left, yesterday the man was an enlightened saint blessed by the Olympian gods (Democratic party) and today he is spoken of with a long list of 'ists (racist, misogynist, etc.).

No one can say this Governor isn't opportunistic as this isn't the first time he has changed parties and wanting to be reelected you really can't blame him for following the path that he believes would secure his re-election. West Virginia has always been Coal Country with an economy based in large part on Coal and Donald Trump and the Republican party has been friends to the Coal industry. Even more a factor the Democrats have openly been opposed to Coal and been in favor of shutting as much of American Coal production down as they can.
So I can't blame the Governor for switching parties it will be interesting to see how the Voters of West Virginia feel about it when he comes up for reelection.
I understand why he switched parties. But one party doesn't have all the answer. I don't believe two parties can properly represent 300+ million people. Why trust politicians who follow paths just to get elected?
