In case you don't know what the Mandela Effect is, it is basically where thousands of people remember something one way but it is really another way? Here's some examples:

A. Bernstein Bears is actually Bernstain Bears

B. Fabreeze is actually Fabreze

C. Fruit Loops is actually Froot Loops

OK, so you get what I am saying hopefully by now. There's plenty more if you want to look them up. Anyway, think I discovered a new song Mandela Effect, did the lyrics to Love Don't Live Here by Lady Antebellum change? I recently played this song off You Tube and was surprised when I heard "You got the nerve to WALTZ right in".

I remember this song saying "You got the nerve to WALK right in". I mean come on, if you go somewhere you probably walk as opposed to dance through the front door. Anyone here familiar with that song and remember it the way I did?

2 more examples of song Mandela Effects are We Are The Champions by Queen ending with "We are the champions" as opposed to We are the champions of the world", and Closer by The Chainsmokers saying "You tell your friends it was nice to meet them" instead of "Please tell your friends it was nice to meet them?

Any thoughts on this?

Never heard of the chainsmokers, barely remember queen, heard of but never listened to lady antebellum. Some songs have the lyrics changed by others than the original performers, and some performers change the words sometimes. But I do know what you're talking about. Bogie didn't say "play it again sam", and willie sutton didn't say he robbed banks because "that's where the money is".  A reporter made that up. I will never figure out how mandela became a hero. He and his wife were ruthless killers. I guess it's those thousands remembering it the way they want it to be.

Lyrics

Hey, I was doing just fine before I met you
I drink too much and that's an issue but I'm okay
Hey, you tell your friends it was nice to meet them
But I hope I never see them again

I know the song says "Hey, you tell your friends it was nice to meet them" now but when the song came out I remember it as saying "Hey, please tell your friends it was nice to meet them". I could be remembering wrong, but I watched 2 videos on You Tube that agreed with me, so I am not the only one if I am remembering wrong.

Just showing where one site had the lyrics, but I'd bet on other sites they'd be different. I'd heard the guy that originally released "Louie Louie", before the kingsmen, talking about how everyone spread the wrong, dirty version, around. He spoke the words and they aren't dirty at all.

Louie, Louie,
me gotta go.
Louie, Louie,
me gotta go.

A fine little girl, she wait for me;
me catch a ship across the sea.
I sailed the ship all alone;
I never think I’ll make it home

Three nights and days we sailed the sea;
me think of girl constantly.
On the ship, I dream she there;
I smell the rose in her hair.

Me see Jamaica moon above;
It won’t be long me see me love.
Me take her in my arms and then
I tell her I never leave again.

Isn't it actually "Bohemian Rhapsody" ?

Febreze, no *a*.

  Happy Birthday Berenstain Bears!

See what you started? When I was little I thought it was the "berry stained bears". Made sense to me. Bears eating berries and getting their fur stained.
