I believe Mr. Conyers deserves the benefit of the doubt just as Roy Moore does and did given both deny charges.  I can also believe Mr. Conyers paid out the money to avoid costly litigation in fighting it which might have been embarrassing and paying out the money doesn't mean (at least to me) he is guilty.  I am concerned though that the money is taxpayer money but that's another issue.

There is great difference though between Roy Moore and Representative Conyers especially in the way this is being handled.  With Conyers there is an over abundance of suggestion to give the benefit of the doubt and for the presumption of innocence but with Roy Moore it's presumed guilty, he should resign the campaign post haste.  Both should be given equal right to presumption of innocence given their denials but in this case one is and one is not.  WHY?

My decision to wait to see how Conyers pans out before condemning him is exactly how I'm treating Roy Moore.  Both men deny the accusations of the women who have come public regarding them.  That's all I was saying.  I was not saying Moore should get out but rather pointing out that the media is approaching both of these men differently.   As for my potential vote for Senate as of now, unless something far more condemning comes out, I'll be supporting and voting for Moore.
