According to Republicans,  everybody knew about Weinstein and that makes the Democrats such horrible people. Well, Trump's Admin. knew about Porter for months and did nothing until the MSM broke the story. I wonder how the Republicans will spin this one:

A) blame Obama

B) blame Hillary

C) blame DNC

D) scream fake news

Senior Trump staffers knew about allegations of abuse against Rob Porter

Senior members of President Donald Trump’s administration knew for months that there was a personal issue haunting White House staff secretary Rob Porter, multiple sources told ABC News — raising questions among staffers about why he was allowed to continue in such a prominent role in the West Wing.

Porter, a top White House aide who has served since the start of the administration, resigned abruptly Wednesday in the wake of multiple allegations of domestic abuse by his two ex-wives, a story first reported by The Daily Mail and confirmed by ABC News.

While senior White House staff were aware for months of the domestic abuse allegations by Porter’s ex-wives, they were not aware of the full extent of those allegations, senior administration officials told ABC News.

Even as news of the scandal broke, White House officials initially defended Porter, with Chief of Staff John Kelly calling him a “man of true integrity and honor.”

On Thursday, Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah sought to clear up some outstanding questions about Porter’s security clearance, saying that he was operating under an interim clearance — and while he was never granted a permanent clearance, he was never actually denied a clearance.

Shah also said that Porter is no longer working at the White House and that his last day was Wednesday. Porter came to the White House earlier in the day to clear out his personal items, Shah said.

The president - Shah said - did not know that Porter was operating under a temporary clearance during his time at the White House and said the president was "saddened" by the news and for all the individuals involved.

That account of Porter's final hours at the White House differs from the one given just one day earlier when, following his resignation, and as pictures of Porter’s first wife with a black eye circulated online, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters that Porter was not forced out and his departure would not be immediate.

What, no Republicans want to discuss the problems with the Trump Administration's actions? You all wanted to discuss the same issue when it was Weinstein. Why, now that it's a Republican issue, nothing but crickets. Republican hypocrisy at its finest.

Gen Kelly sure did support the abuser to the fullest, even knowing the truth. Sound so similar to Weinstein, why no screaming from the Alt-Right??

Prove the last statement!  Porter was an early appointee. Kelley arrived later at the WH.  When did the WH Office of Counsel, which manages all appointees, apprise Kelley of the reports of abuse.  How long did Porter have to make a reclamma to refute the charges?

Two of Trump's top staff have resigned, now, over abuse allegations and Liarstraights' reply, "prove that last statement'. If you'd turn off the Fox News and join the real world, you'd have seen Gen Kelly back the abuser to the fullest. Perhaps you should just google it, since your blinders seem to have stopped you from seeing facts.

Kelly kept Porter until all the evidence was in.  That's how the system works.  In the US one is innocent until the government proves one's guilt.  Unlike France, where the state declares one is guilty, until one's innocence is proven. BTW, Eleanor Roosevelt treated her mistress atrociously, too.

That's why, during the FBI vetting process, they informed the Trump Admin. MONTHS AGO. But, that plays right into the Republican attack on the FBI, doesn't it?

They are still desperate to deflect from Weinstein.

Clinton, any freaking Kennedy, John Edwards, Condit, Franks, and on and on, roll call of pervs.

So many they won't talk about. Leland Yee, california senator and gun runner, selling guns to our enemies. Not one liberal every mentioned or commented on that story. A huge story that should have taken over TV and newspapers, but because he's a democrat, not a peep.

How could I have left out Weiner!!?

You left out LBJ and another Kennedy.

Add the bidens too. The brother divorced his wife and married his dead brother's widow before the body was cold, and crazy old uncle joe thought that was OK.

Gary Hart and the Monkey Business

In March 1987, at which time it was owned by Donald Soffer,[2] the yacht was leased by William C. Broadhurst and he and former US senator Gary Hart sailed it to Bimini for an overnight trip with two women, one of whom was Donna Rice. After Hart became a candidate for the Democratic nomination in the 1988 election for President of the United States, the issue of whether he was having an affair with Rice was raised in the press, and he withdrew his candidacy shortly after the cruise on Monkey Business became known.
