9/11 and the Evidence

By Paul Craig Roberts

The 9/11 attack has been used to start wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, to plan an attack on Iran, to curtail constitutional protections and civil liberties in the US, to radically expand US military budgets and the power of the executive, and to enrich entrenched vested interests.

Interesting article. I have been following all this since 9/11 and see you have to be careful about some of these claims. Still, there are a number of unanswered questions. Paul Craig Roberts is a pretty credible person.

I just have a couple of criticisms. One, bin Laden did take credit for the attack in his tape before the 2004 election. He stated that the reason he did it was in retaliation for US support for Israelis 1982 invasion of Lebanon and the siege and bombing of Beirut. He said when he saw Lebanon burning he got the idea to hit the towers.

Also, we know that Arabs bordered the planes that flew into the towers. Why our airforce did not react is odd, especially when we know that about 10 minutes into the first flight a stewardess called in that the plane had been highjacked by men of Mideastern descent.

And why the Towers fell so quickly is also odd.

Good article though. Especially pointing out that one of the new editors of "Popular Mechanic's," which attacks these questions and upholds the official story, is the cousin of Michael Chetroff, head of Homeland Security.
