with the suspected fraudulent activity coming from Exxon and other industry giants:

<<<In a move many are hailing as a “turning point” in the climate fight, 20 state Attorneys General on Tuesday launched an unprecedented, multi-state effort to investigate and prosecute the “high-funded and morally vacant forces” that have stymied attempts to combat global warming—starting with holding ExxonMobil and other industry giants accountable for fraud and suppression of key climate science.>>>>

Kinda reminds one of the Congressional probes into the harmful effects of smoking and those five Big Tobacco CEOs who publicly declared that tobacco was not addictive, a position that still lives in infamy. Now it's big oil  that might have to live with its lies!

Rather interesting that the AGs are all from states with liberal administrations -- most liberal for decades -- IOW, the usual suspects.  If these states truly believe the fossil fuel suppliers are such evil doers, shouldn't their products be immediately banned, or 400 to 500 percent taxes placed on them?  Shouldn't electricity from fossil fuels be ended immediately, no matter what?

Looks like bunch of liberals with their hands out looking for a payday.

Kinda is a fact of the life of America will be living/dying from

the lies obumtongue has told everyday since he crawled out

of a chi town sewer.

Tobacco the nation can do without, with little consequences besides nicotine withdrawal, which is a nasty addiction, but not necessary for civilization.

Electricity and gas are necessary for our civilization. In the future, there will be replacements, but not yet.  The red states are attempting to extort money from the oil and other fossil fuel companies to fill their coffers.  Those paying will be those who use the products -- from all the 50 states.
