<<<MADISON, Wisconsin — Bernie Sanders has been running for president for two months, but Wednesday night in Madison, Wisconsin, his long-shot campaign got real.

When Sanders walked on stage at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum, he was greeted by a raucous, howling crowd of 9,600 people, according to Sanders’ campaign aides and arena staff.

A clearly energized Sanders, who late last year was speaking to crowds of 50 people in Iowa classrooms, appeared taken aback by the reception he received.

“Whoa,” he said. “In case you haven’t noticed, there are a lot of people here.”>>>

The meeting was at NIGHT.  Most people work during the day.

“Tonight we have made a little bit of history,” he said. “You may know that some 25 candidates are running for president of the United States, but tonight we have more people at a meeting for a candidate for president of the United States than any other candidate has."

Ron Paul used to fill auditoriums, but wasn't a real draw at the polls either. Activists will travel miles to support their candidate and create the illusion of mass support.

Since Sanders seems to be pushing a new form of syndicalism, he should bring in loads of union folks. Syndicalists were the socialists who were so extreme that the chaos they wrought put Mussolini and Hitler in power.

____

A vain and un-provable assumption on"you're" part, demonstrating how desperate you are to discount the significance of Sanders' large crowds.

The only vain thing is the vein in your forhead that must be throbbing about now.  Santa Claus can bring large crowds too, usually kids who want something for nothing.

Will you blither the same kind of nonsense if and when some GOP candidate draws more than a few hundred to a rally?

The good news for Republicans is that more are tossing their hats in the Democrat ring.  Besides Bernie, O'Malley, Biden, Webb and, one hopes, more.  Comrade de Blasio is playing a waiting game as to whom to endorse. Considering how unpopular he is an endorsement will not help whomever.

The Clinton machine will have to expend energy and finds attacking other Democrats, rather than Republicans.  And, the Clinton machine is notorious for its vicious efficiency.  I feel like an spectator at the coliseum who sees all his old opponents in the lists.

What is truly extreme is your take on Sanders, specifically that silly ass allusion to Hitler and Mussolini.

It's a historical fact that syndicalists were staging strikes and violent takeovers in the interwar period in Europe. One of the main reasons for the support of Mussolini was the fact that these people were murdering Italian WW1 veterans. Germany was also chaotic because of these people. The Spanish Civil War had no good side with the Fascists and N AZI's squaring off with the syndicalists and communists.

It's simple as  A .. B ... C

Anyone But Clinton!

I want to have a choice this coming election and given all the bad news about Clinton and how she's ducking any substantive questions and covering up faster and more complete than any cat in a litter box covers it's own droppings, surely the Democrats can field someone else.

I also don't want to see Jeb Bush run away with the Republican nomination.  I would really like to see Ben Carson or Donald Trump go a ways if not for anything else to stir things up more.  Maybe it's time for a non-politician to give some of the usual crowd some discomfort.

I'd also like to see a debate between Hillary and Carly Florina.  I doubt though that Hillary would dare take a stage against her if she had any choice in the matter even though Carly hasn't had a stellar career in politics, if it's time for a Woman, and it very well could be, I think Carly would make a good one from what I've seen.  Maybe the Dem 's should find a different woman to run against Hillary.

It's pretty obvious that Hillary feels she deserves it and should receive the nomination solely upon her past history of putting up with Bill.  And actually that is a pretty difficult thing to put up with given all he's put her through.

When you posted this egregious drive,l

"It's pretty obvious that Hillary feels she deserves it and should receive the nomination solely upon her past history of putting up with Bill."

you surrendered credibility!

There is absolutely no basis for such an asinine assertion.  Tell us HOW you manage to conclude that "It's pretty obvious...." other than that for some inexplicable reason YOU find it "obvious."

Tell us, Mr. Mind Reader!  Sheeeesh!

Ah, yes, Hitler--that well-known Marxist!  Jack, your history is as confused as your theology.

The NSDAP were considered to the right of the communists in both in the extreme left in German politics of the 1920s to 1930s.  Adolf advised to recruit communists before persecuting them, if possible, because of similar beliefs,  He hated the Russians because of racial reasons, not political  In his racial theories, Russia was not to be completely conquered but to be a place of constant low level warfare to sharpen the Germanic race.

Excerpts from a NY Times article on old lying Bernie.

“BURLINGTON, Vt. — When he came to Vermont in the late 1960s to help plan the upending of the old social order, the future presidential candidate Bernie Sanders brought with him the belief that the United States was starkly divided into two groups: the establishment and the revolutionaries. He was a revolutionary.

“The Revolution Is Life Versus Death,” in fact, was the title of an article he wrote for The Vermont Freeman, an alternative, authority-challenging newspaper published for a few years back then. The piece began with an apocalyptically alarmist account of the unbearable horror of having an office job in New York City, of being among “the mass of hot dazed humanity heading uptown for the 9-5,” sentenced to endless days of “moron work, monotonous work.”

“The years come and go,” Mr. Sanders wrote, in all apparent seriousness. “Suicide, nervous breakdown, cancer, sexual deadness, heart attack, alcoholism, senility at 50. Slow death, fast death. DEATH.’ “

Sounds more like his tour in the Senate.

“In a piece titled “Reflections on a Dying Society,” he declared that the United States was virtually going to hell in a handcart. Its food was laden with chemicals; its environment was being ruined; the threat of nuclear annihilation or “death by poison gas” was increasing; people were suffering from malaise and “psychosomatic disease”; citizens were being coerced and duped by the government and the advertising industry; and the economy was based on “useless” goods “designed to break down or used for the slaughter of people.”

“The general social situation, to say the least,” he wrote, “does not look good.’”

Bernie, we are still here.  The environment is cleaner and that we are living longer is proof.

In short, just another radical leftist -- perhaps, a bit more to the left than Obama or just less cautious.

You've shown me you aren't that knowledgeable about any theology. I know

you have your own slideshow but that's just a personal thing for you.
