According to b50m, no job creation if you are in any way affiliated with a democrat, EVEN GE!

The sale by GE of fighter 107 F414 jet engines to the Indian military.

A separate deal with GE worth $500m (£309m) for the sale of six heavy duty gas turbines and three steam turbines to India's Reliance Energy Ltd.

The White House said India had identified GE subsidiary GE Transportation, based in Erie, Pennsylvania, and Electro-Motive Diesel, of LaGrange, Illinois, a unit of Caterpillar Inc, as bidders to supply Indian railways with over 1,000 diesel locomotives over 10 years.

A lot of dough for GE CEO and owner of NBC, Jeffrey Immelt. And NBC backs Obama.

Can you defend your position b50m? Do you really want the jobless rate to increase? How do you like you're own President Obama bashing when thrown back at you? These WERE your words in the posting! Razzer "A lot of dough for GE CEO and owner of NBC, Jeffrey Immelt, And Obama backs NBC", Are you using more revisionist position in regards to your postings b50m?? Wanna rumble???? hehe Big Grin
Where did I say anything about jobs in my statements?

Immelt paid the Obama campaign heavily for those job offers. It's pay back to him for his contributions and bashings of the rep party and Bush.

Will those deals create jobs? I hope so. Will they create more money for Immelt, you betcha!

I thought you libs hated rich people? Or is it only rich republicans?
I guess that the Obama visit will produce several "win-wins". GE probably would have lost in the "green energy" sales arena to the cheaper Chinese solar panels and to the more efficient German wind turbines, so selling power generation equipment, jet engines, and more efficient locomotives will actually employ more US people, at least temporarily. The Indians win because they can dissect our technology, copy it, and then sell it back to us in few years after they get their trade deal. Democrats win because the economy will get a boost from the deal temporarily which might keep Obama in office. The only potential losers might be Republicans in 5 to 10 years. When the next recession hits and Walmart is filled with "Made in India" labels we'll hear "that damm Palin and those Republicans sent our jobs overseas", like Bush was blamed for Clinton's trade deal with China.
If you want to keep making a fool of yourself b50m, I will be glad to facilitate.

Was this not in the provenance you used in your post?

Do you think these diesel locomotives will build themselves?
More sailing down the river of Denial by b50m.
Here are four main points that were introduced under the jobs bill:

1. Ending tax loopholes that let corporations hide profits overseas, and investing those dollars in small businesses that create jobs in America;
This one I support 100%, of course hell may freeze over before ANY politician of either party stand up to a corporation, especially since corporations thanks to the rulings on the Supreme Court can now and HAVE bought elections.

2. Providing tax cuts to small businesses and expanding lending so that businesses can create new jobs;
This sounds good, and before anyone talks about the hopefully expiration of the Bush tax cuts most small business will actually benefit from the realized cut for under $250,000 tax level.
The bank reform act if properly executed could force banks into lending through the elimination of fees for consumer credit services.

3. Investing in a clean-energy economy, and providing tax credits to spark manufacturing of windmills, solar panels, and electric cars here at home;
This is one area where everyone has dropped the ball: google T. Boone Pickens.

4. Putting Americans to work rebuilding roads, bridges, rails, and ports, strengthening our economy and our infrastructure across all 50 states.
This should be the savior of the economy and unfortunately isn't even being utilized. How did FDR get the nation out of the depression and create jobs (well the war helped) but also through public works. Look at the crumbling roads and bridges right here in the Shoals area?

Wherever job creation ideas come from, I would welcome them whether they were coming from a democrat or a republican. If John Boehner wants to tackle the trade balance with China and the rest of the world, I would be completely for him. (Unfortunately, hell WOULD freeze over if a republican went up against big business so the world would surely end) Cool

These deals were negotiated without Obama's help long before the trip. He took credit for something he didn't do.

What is it in the socialist DNA, no matter if the variant is Fabian, internationalist or nationalist, that thirsts for the blood of Jews!

Only partially correct about the new jets. They may be viable for a while -- but when opponent learn to jam the signals, there will be a return to manned aircraft -- hypersonic. Sorry, no terminator scenario.
