In a mass mailing that I received today, the Alabama Republican Party takes a number of truly cheap shots at Greg Burdine, candidate for the State House of Representatives. The ad asks, "Is Greg Burdine another Obama liberal?" Then it goes on to make several bogus guilt-by-association charges. Example:

"While many of our families are struggling to put food on the table and pay our bills, politicians suppoporting Greg Burdine voted to increase their own pay by tens of thousands of dollars--costing taxpayers millions of dollars."

How shoddy; how absolutely unprincipled! Sure, many state legislators--including Republicans--voted to increase legislative pay a couple of years back. That Democrats who voted for this increase are supporting a member of their party seeking office does not in any way create any reason not to vote for Greg Burdine. Would these same unprincipled propagandists complain that the Republican candidate for this office is supported by politicians of their own party who voted for this pay increase? Heck NO! They know nothing of consistency when it does not suit their nefarious purposes.

The ad is an insult to any thoughtful citizen of either party. Shame on the State GOP!

Mama used to say "you are judged by who you run with". I know Greg personally and he is a great guy, unfortunately he's picked a party of scum bags to run with. The fact that little rocky thinks democrats are the cat's meow, speaks volumes about the party itself.

I plan to vote for Greg because I know him not to be a liberal, I just wish other dems were more like him.

I wish I had been there; the dude with glasses who dragged her to the ground would be sipping soup out of a straw today. If this is what it is coming to teabaggers there are lots of folk who may have to put up with your hate speech but can use our fists all over your lying faces and fat asses if you want to get violent. BRING IT ON!!!

Somebody needs to beat the hell out of some three corner hat moron at the next teabag rally!

MAN you must be OLD! Didn't that saying die out in the 20's? Democrats are the only alternative to the teabaggers in Alabama and I would vote for a three legged dog before I would support a teabagger (REthuglican, in Alabama same thing)

I bet you would do a lot more to a three legged dog than vote for it.

Don't forget our forum's little kid has been doing the same thing the GOP is being accused of here. How many witch posts about McConnell have been on here started by lil rocky.

Both parties run ads that can be considered shameless. What about the Kentucky ad where the Democrat stoops to bring up falsehoods about Ron Paul's son's religion?

This is shooting yourself in the foot taken to extremes. And yes the FOOT part was intentional. You teabaggers REALLY need to drop the Rand Paul references. Your antics at rallys are going to cost your candidates the elections, Joe Miller's new stats in Alaska for example, and nobody paid for the "ad" seen round the world of a bully from the tea party stomping on a young girls head.
A full page in a newspaper: Cost Money
A 30 second spot on television: Cost more Money
A republican bully stomping on a young girls head: Shows the average citizen what jerks teabaggers actually are and is PRICELESS!

Do the Democrats get a pass at their shameless ads?

Bingo.

It's sickening from both sides. I'll be glad when Nov 2 comes and goes.

WOW a crack in the armor of a rightwing radical!! Eeker Am I sensing any embarrassments and regrets about the way the tea party has conducted itself? NO, Hell hasn't froze over yet and Fox News is still broadcasting.

I believe you would be much happier and less hateful if you would just get help from your obviously severe case of ED.
