I hope they talk smack about him if he doesn't turn over that money to the less fortunate. Why should he profit when there are poor people that could have tossed that ball just as well, had they had the chance? And, why were the contestants both "white"??

It's almost humorous the way a few on here set up these imaginary "issues" that we liberals are supposed to have, then knock em down. LOL

No wonder they are so upset. They are living in a fantasy land and they are fighting against imaginary people. Must be very confusing for them.

I'm happy for the kid that won the money. I wish him luck in college!

Yes, especially the knee-jerk, automatic pilot complaint button kept close at hand to Bestworking.

No black kids?  There were only two finalists.  If yo want to play the numbers game, consider this.  About 10-12 percent of the U.S. population is black.  Had one of the two finalists been black, then one might object to a disproportionate representation. And why were there no Latino finalists.  I believe that Latinos now outnumber blacks in this country.

Contestants had to go to considerable effort to even enter the contest at its initial stage.  They were judged on the merits of what they submitted initially and then had to go up against others in the pure skills part of the competition.   To imply that bias played a part in the last two reaching the finals is the epitome of dullardry (not a word in the dictionary, but it sure seems to fit the situation).

Yes, for the short distance involved, the "basketball pass" was the soundest tactic and both finalists were wise to adopt that method, even though it did not mimic the kind of throw a quarterback would typically make. As to speculation about what "greedy politicians" might have done with the money--how much more irrelevant can you get than that irrelevant comment?
