An industry that deserves to DIE!

I agree, except with the machines, like at WalMart, where you refill large bottles. Our water here in Muscle Shoals taste so bad during the summer, especially during Dog Days I can't even make coffee out of it , even though I have a carbon filter.
On the other hand, the small bottles are clogging our landfills and that presents the real problem to me.

Sometimes I do buy water for a long road trip but what I should do is refill the bottle with Britta, freeze it, and take it on the next trip. I usually forget.

I think it is pretty ridiculous we waste gasoline transporting water and we pay more for water when we buy it in bottles than we do for gasoline.

If our depression era parents/grandparents saw this I'm sure they would be laughing at us.

The bottle I drank from the other day said water obtained through private wells or public water supplies, in other words, the same as your tap water. Fortunately, I was supplied this water and did not have to spend my money on it.

I think some of it can be contributed to paying at the pump now. Who goes in the station anymore?

What's all the fuss over bottled water? Don't necessarily agree or disagree. But look at all the other soft drinks/items that come in plastic: your medicines, groceries, etc... At least water is better for you than those other "plastic" bottled drinks. Just wanted to add my $2Cents$ No harm intended. hehehe

You've never worked in areas where the tap water was bad.
