Apocaloony!

Having survived the oncoming predicted apocalypses from many political variants, I must, at best, sigh a "ho hum."

From the sixties, until now, the Bulletin of Concerned Scientists set their Doomsday Clock at various times until global nuclear exchange -- so far  No!  They tended to be of the left variant.  From, again, the scientific community, came the specter of Y2K -- promising all sorts of horrific happenstance because punch card did not include two more spaces.  No end of civilization from that -- didn't end up eating the pets or each other as some predicted.  My partnership made a nice sum from that -- ensuring all our clients were up to date in their patches and such.  One young IT nerd said even our watches might stop working.  I took out my pocket watched and wound it. Told him my grandfather said it worked fine when the year went from 1899  to 1900.  

The global warmists predicted that Great Britain would join Atlantis -- so far, NO!

That was after they  decided the world would not die in ice.

I am with you.   A few decades ago, folks were saying that AIDS was a sign of God's curse and the End Times.  Now it is Ebola.  When in all truthfulness, no one knows, or can know, when the Rapture will occur and the End Times begin.

We can look at Scripture and read about the signs to watch for -- but, diseases, wars, earthquakes, etc., have been happening for 2000 years.  Personally, I say let's just keep doing the work Christ left for all Christians, i.e., the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:8, Mark 16:15) -- and live such a life that if He does come tomorrow to Rapture His church -- we will not be caught napping.

The doomsday spokes people seem to live pretty good and travel a lot. Are they doing it with a credit card and thinking they won't have to pay it back after the end?

what if they are right, and we do nothing to correct the direction mankind is going?

Fortunately for the radicals these people Condendah pointed out make up the larger portion of Republicans and 100 percent of the tea party, these doomslooneys are milling around, lowing and quoting much scripture that will change legislation by the new Republican Congress with protection by the clergy in the Supreme Court.

There is probably nothing that can be done about it or prevent it.  These religious fanatics have built an army that in many ways resemble ISIS. Given enough time they will be chopping off heads in the name of God with scripture already in place that allows it.

Alabama Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore is an example.

That was my initial thought also -- Quail has wiggled back into the forum.   But, then I realized that even with our new Friend's "sleight of tongue" -- the writing is still more rational than he ever attempted.  So, I guess we just have one more Obama-fooled, union-loving, Liberal Socialist Democrat on our hands.  

And, as usual, we allow the minority party to speak its mind - even when it makes no sense.

No "Rapture"; no "tribulation", no 1000 year earthly reign--unless you are in thrall to the  blithering premillennialist mythology concocted by those who chase around from scripture to scripture and put together a crazy-quilt patchwork theology!

Not a problem.  You just keep chanting, "No Rapture, no Tribulation, no Millennial Kingdom, etc."

And, on the way up, as He take all believers up -- even those of you who do not believe His Written Word -- you will be happily surprised when you are Raptured along with those of us who knew it was coming.
