The score at the beginning of the 4th quarter of the 2013 game was LSU 28, AU 14.

Posting a pic from an earlier game is as relevant as posting a picture of the Bama sidelines at the end of the 2010 IB.  The difference is Bammer's #1 fan acted out on it.

More recently, less we forget Bammer's #2 fan...

Poisoning trees and committing sexual assault kinda sorta makes painting a rock seem rather tame, doesn't it?

@ Joeycuda,

As AU continues to climb in the polls, you can expect more of the same from Bammer football geniuses as they become more and more obsessed with AU and less and less about their own team.  BTW, how's their search for Cam's bag man going?

Back on topic, I think Best is on to something here about a UT fan being the culprit.  It was a Clemson fan who vandalized Howard's Rock.

Far as I'm concerned, Roll Tide Roll.  See y'all in Jordan-Hare.

WdE.

During football season we "fly" both the Auburn and Alabama flags. They are both Alabama teams and we want Auburn to win as much as we want Alabama to win, UNTIL they play each other, then we want Alabama to trounce Auburn. Light-hearted rivalry is fine with me, but some can take it to an unacceptable level. That is not a "typical/average" Alabama fan, or a "typical/average" Auburn fan when that happens. (Maybe a typical Oregon Ducks fan). Anywho, I still say TN did it themselves, As for the "sexual assault", not very nice, but I'd say way worse can happen if you get so drunk you pass out in a hamburger joint.

So you're saying it's the victim's fault.  Got it.

And that Auburn guy who got wasted and stole a car after the LSU game thinking he was playing Grand Theft Auto was another model citizen as well.....

Some fans are stupid.  Got them on both sides of the aisle.  Auburn is not immune from them any more than Alabama.  I don't give three flips in the wind what Aubrun does except the weekennd after Thanksgiving, and on that weekend I want them to choke.  I saw the same typical classlessness when they were ordering and wearing Texas, LSU and Michigan jerseys during the BCS games.  It would probably serve the state better if the two schools were in different conferences if you want to know the truth.

I'm not familiar with the GTA.  What happened?

And yes I agree about out of control fans.  But the BAMA fans I know are the best.  None of them are in denial about some of the crap Bammers do nor to they make excuses for the victims conduct.  I can still hear Bammers saying "it's only a tree."  While BAMA FANS were humiliated including Coach Saben.  A great coach I might add.

But AU didn't have anything to do with the dam rock.

Far as I know.

Good job, Best!  Whew!  I thought for sure Cam's daddy was going to be blamed for this one too.

I agree with you a TN fan did it.  Bammers do lots of nasty things, but RMFT just isn't in their vocab.

Is it?

Anyhow, RTR to you and yours.

Oh, btw, should Bama win out and play Oregon for the NC, I hope we don't find as many "Roll Ducks" fans in the state of Alabama as we did in 2011.

Funny to you no doubt.  2010 still stings, doesn't it?  And a perfect season is hard to come by, isn't it?

This AU fan isn't whining, little Bammerman.

I can't ever imagine Bama losing to any team other than AU.  The Texas and ND games matched great traditional opponents.  And the best team won.  You want to be the best, you've got to beat the best.

But I give you credit.  You got that "Roll Ducks Roll" thing down pretty good.  Not surprising.

Tell me, do you also scream "Roll dam Tide" like your #1 Bammerfan?

Something happened to my post.  I wrote my daddy attended API in the 1930s and good luck to Bama against the Vols.

Maybe my post got painted over.

Crash, while my daddy was living, he and my cousin had an IB tradition, the loser would call the winner.  She went to Bama on an athletic scholarship during Bear's years.  He had to call her with a "Roll Tide" 9 times in a row.  After he passed, my cousin and I took up the tradition.  Then she got a slight taste of what it was like for my daddy.  Never did "War Eagle" sound so good.

Though my Alabama family's alma maters vary between Ole Miss, Vandy, and Kentucky, the majority is split between AU and Bama. I was raised in the SEC and dysfunctional family reunions.

And I will be watching the UT game this afternoon today as a Bama fan like most Bama fans who have no other connection to the school.  Just not nearly as crazy.

That will come later this evening when the "Barner" in me comes out.

Nope.  I'm your average classy AU fan and I would never do any of those things nor would condone them nor defend them by blaming the victim.

Given you pull for AU except the IB and fly the AU flag along side Bama's, obviously this has less to do with football rivalries and more to do with personal attacks by someone you know instigated by gawd knows what.

Sorry, your post doesn't make a lot of sense. What did I "condone" and what victim did I blame for what? What is the "this" that you're talking about? Maybe you should read my post again and see if you can grasp what I actually "said". It is interesting that you hate a team so bad that you make a mountain out of a molehill over a silly prank that most likely TN did themselves. Think "Fast Times at Ridgemont High". Ever who did it was careful to use "paint" that washed right off.

Best,

Where in my post did I say you condoned anything?  These are things I said I wouldn't do.

"This" refers to the personal attacks on you.  Theft & vandalism.

Show me a single instance where I've ever shown any hate for Bama's team.  Or for the University of Alabama.

And finally, What mountain?  What molehill? I agreed with you that TN probably did it.  Painted the rock, that is.

Good grief.

I am born and raised in Alabama and it's still disturbing to me how religion, sports, politics are so important and dividing to people and their whole belief system... It's all the same(it really is).

The childish, immature attitude that "my side is better than your side" and "you are stupid and worthless for liking what you like".

It's all so childish and petty. It's hard to believe grown adults can still act this way and feel justified.

Politics and religion are a lot more important than "my side is better than your side". People's lives and futures are at stake and it's foolish/childish not to be concerned.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with showing support for a sports team. Most of the rivalry is harmless and far from being something that divides people. The ones that do go overboard with it are the ones that would take other things to excess. This is true no matter where a person lives or was raised.

I guess I just don't get upset when someone else has a different viewpoint than me. It doesn't bother me. I can often see and respect their point of view and move on. I realize I am in the minority in feeling this way though. It seems like it just tears some people's whole world apart if somebody doesn't see things the way they do. It borders on the ridiculous.

Also religion has no place or significance in my life. I don't care about it in the least. I also don't care to discuss it or debate about it either. If that makes me foolish/ childish then so be it.
