The Dems have a singular advantage and that is they will only need to compare the Rep candidate to BushII to get a majority in most states. Once again, there will only be 6-8 states in play, and they will be choosing the next POTUS. After the close call in 2000, BushII got Medicare Part D which guaranteed him the 2004 Florida vote, and only cost $100billion per year.

Obama is spending a trillion per year on nothing. Not a good comparison.

The party in power has the ability to buy their reelection, its a normal behavior, and thats the point of comparison. Besides the Stimulus, what has OBama allocated funding for since taking office? The FY2009 budget deficit was already over $1.+ Trillion without any spending increases, and our fedgov does not have any mechanism for decreasing expenditures on most federal programs. How many billions has the continued unemployment cost??? FLorida is not going to elect a Conservative that might cut Medicare D or now DemoCare. Deficits dont matter.
