As an independent reading page 3A of today's paper, it is disgusting to see this agenda piece masquerading as a news story. A partisan FAQ for the uninformed.

Will papers ever return to the ethic that shunned agenda journalism in news stories? Is it any wonder papers are losing readers? As it is, I would trust a used car salesman long before trusting a "journalist".

The article is not hard news. Worse, it describes what the Democrats are actually planning, which is to pass the Senate version in the House. thus making it law. Then, in the House attach a rejection of portions not wanted in the Senate bill to a budget bill. When, the Senate votes on the budget bill, they will only be voting to remove a few portions of the newly passed law. Of course, the Senate might just refuse to pass the budget bill and leave the portions objectionable to the House intact.
