I am curious how the championship game goes now that is in Kansas City? I have checked the KCSTAR this week and have not seen one article about it. Even worse this morning the lead sport article isn't even a sports story. It is about a high school "possibly" being racist at a basketball game. I believe that either team playing in the final division 2 game could compete with half the teams in bowl games. What is even sadder is the semi finals were on ESPN 3 a sub channel while one of their prime channels showed a who cares basketball game. I for one will complain to the NCAA, and if both schools fans started complaining maybe d2 championship games in all sports would get more tv coverage. Seems the softball championship was on internet not tv? ESPN is about pro sports. I for one think d2 football, basketball, baseball and softball should get better coverage for their championships. These kids have worked hard and many are not on scholarships. They deserve more support.

I guess media executives have determined that there isn't a large enough audience to justify all the coverage. $
It's all about potential viewers and whether they think there are enough to generate the income they need. Be glad it is on ESPN3 - streamed to your computer.
true, however the Kansas city area has given very little coverage. The national news outlets like to follow pro, it they would give some attention to d2 maybe crowds would pick up. I would much rather to watch the d2 championship or the d1a semi finals over the sewer bowls. or in the case of last week Ariz. stomp Missouri in basketball. NCAA could and should put pressure on the national media for more coverage
Good news. The game is on ESPN 2 at 3pm.
