I know the "Dog House Tavern" too well. I was there every weekend. It gets a bad rap but it`s not so bad. It`s been years since I`ve been back there, 13 or 14 years anyway and back then you had your normal trouble makers but surely even they have settled down some. I remember one fight that started because this guy ask this blonde chick out and she said okay. The next thing I knew the fight was on, her exboyfriend was sitting between her and his new girl but got mad cause someone ask her out. It was so silly. Knowbody really got hurt, just banged up a bit. What did you really want to know?
****, I had forget about "The Doghouse"? Up the road and to the left coming from Club 13, used to stop at "the Black Cat" first; rarely made it to the dog house unless I went through Cloverdale to head out and then usually ended up at Magic Valley for some "herbs" before the trip back. ONCE AGAIN GAng, we gotta quit doing this, I thought I was already over my "mid-life" crisis! Thanks for the memories> THE DOG!
Sorry gang, meant "THE BLACK CAT, on the left when you hit whatever that road was across Iron City after you went to Iron City, as I said, I would usually stop at (**** can't remember the package store) and go and meet the gang on the trace at "Magic Valley" than head over to The Black Cat or The Dog House, Seems to my braincell depraved memory we would just grab a beer and go on to Johnneys Club!
When the Black Cat burnt down in the late 70's "I think" It was rebuilt and named the Natchez Trace Inn and the Dog House remained the same. These clubs or as we call them "Beer Joints" were very localized and outsiderers were easy to recognize. We did a lot of things in the 80's there inside and outside the club's a lot of my friends from then are either dead or in jail now. I will remember them as well as some of the rough and roudy days and nights that I spent in the Natchez Trace Inn.
LOL, I remember that when you walked into Tonys club you always had to walk through a bunch of bikers that looked like they could kill with a stare. But I knew most of those guys and they wouldn't hurt a flea. And would give you the shirt off their backs. And they sure would never hurt a puppy like the nut that cut the ears of that poor little one a month or so ago.
