Coach Bowden - " 1 More Win ! "

folks.. maybe someone needs tell coach bowden that one more win...will just get una to the championship game ! and this is no disrespect to coach hudspeth...i know how bad he wanted that and how hard he worked for it. i guarantee you he would give all of his individual honors that he earned at UNA for just one championship...he understood how hard it is to get there.we may need to concentrate on winning that first game and then the 10 or 11 or maybe even 12 or more games it takes to get to a championship game. all this name dropping(dick vermeil,bobby bowden, etc..) is not gonna get us in the championship game. all this hero worshipping,picture taking, autograph signing is not gonna get it done...he and his staff better hit the ground running & recruiting...he may have forgotten the difference in the divisions in football, from d1 to d2. when he goes into a recruits house and wants to offer a full scholarship(d2 only get 36 i think) and he can not offer a full ride, more than likely.he can only offer tuition, maybe books, maybe room and board,rarely ever all three.and these kids he'll be recruiting now were only 6,7 or 8 years old the last time he coached a football game..so must of these kids don't even remember the last time he coached a football game. us older folks remember but we're not the ones he's recruiting..i remember coach wallace telling me several years ago that the kids he was recruiting had already forgotten who bo jackson was...so all you folks taking pictures,patting him on the back, asking for autographs,etc... better encourage coach bowden to get on the recruiting trail and signs some good players.not just waiting for these d1 players that might drop through the cracks from his daddy and all of his other d1 friends.a lot of those players come with some sort of baggage also.cause players are what makes or breaks a coach eventually..and this talk about losing 22 players from this years team is not a built in excuse..coach hud kept replacing them year after year..and kept on winning..no one told him he was expected to have a rebuilding year, so lets don't bring that up. and if you think that keeping coach huds coaching staff insures that...just remember that coach hyde kept practically all of coach wallaces staff..but we see how that worked out..they lost their leader and it was never the same.(but as some folks have said "it was time for him to go",coach wallace that is, i can't quite figure that out to this day!)so here's wishing coach bowden good luck and i hope he gets it done...i'll be the first to congratulate him...
