Uh Huh...Yeah...Sure...good luck on this one. It seems that I remember Sheffield passing an ordinance several years ago restricting the bone rattling music coming from vehicles on the road. A lot of good that does when it is not enforced. I have Hatch Blvd at one end of my block and a stop sign at the other. There is never a day goes by that I don't hear music from vehicles passing one corner or the other all hours of the day and night. Makes you wonder where Sheffield's finest are and what they are doing that this goes on unchecked.

If it were easy, they would have no problem enforcing it.
I don't like the noise that people let come from some of their vehicles either, but it ain't gonna ruin my day. If it's a bunch of punks hanging out below my window late at night, then I might have something to say.
Just wondering if the forum poster who likes to SHOUT at 132 decibels will be there.
According to the article that I read, it ain't the noise from the business thats the problem. It is from patrons leaving the club. Some people get *****y if they can hear the bass drum only slightly in their living room when they turn off the fan or tv. In their small world, clubs would not be allowed to operate.
The patrons appear to be the problem. However, there are now a number of people living in downtown Sheffield adjacent to a couple of the clubs.
Sounds like the problem is bad zoning. But the world over, if you live downtown, you have to expect downtown noise.
From reading the latest two TD articles, I'd say "noise" is somewhat of a code word for shots fired. Wouldn't want to live where a stray bullet could enter my apt. at any time.
Question: Is there a club in Sheffield where shots haven't been fired? Or at least a fight begun that ended elsewhere with shots fired. I see this particular club calls itself "classy." Okay, but what class?
And why hasn't Sheffield released the name of the Town Creek man arrested in this latest of many altercations?
In a town like Sheffield that is starved for every dime in revenue you just need to follow the money. If the PD would show a proactive high profile presence the problem would soon subside.
