My fault Mungo. I don't venture on to that side of the river that much.Maybe you just don't like people named Ed.

Craig, Craig, Craig.....

Where do i even begin? I have eaten your food for years. Your food on Tuscaloosa Street was to die for. The gator meat was literally as tender as a diced chicken breast. That gator po boy was one of the finest delicacies I have ever put into my mouth. BUT......

The gator meat you are serving at Big Ed's is absolutely awful. Instead of the gator po boy, this new sandwich should be called the RUBBER BAND PO BOY. It's tough and chewy (but more chewy than tough). It felt like i was eating a whoopie cushion burrito. Please, please find a new distributor or do whatever it takes to get some half-way tender gator meat.

And yes, I have tried it several times at the new location to see if it got any better. But it hasn't. Please make it right for us Craig. There are SO many folks here who love your cooking

$12 is just too dang much for the sandwich to not be perfect.

Now if the meat gets better...... I will gladly stand in line 2 or 3 times a week with $12 in hand to get one.

C'mon Craig.... hook us up.

What did they say when you told them of your complaint?

When something is so disgusting i can't eat it much less SEVERAL times, surely you weren't charged after you took a couple bites and told them it wasnt edible

Only a fool complains at a small, non-chain restaurant, and then continues to go there over an over again. Have you ever swallowed a booger?

Have you even eaten there yet? You don't say so. It would be great if you would quit responding to a thread that you know nothing about. I would really like to hear back from others who have been there or heaven forbid maybe Craig or that other guy that works there.

I BELIEVE THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE WITH ALL OF THE RED-MEAT EATING MALES OF FLORENCE AND DESERVES IT'S OWN THREAD.

I am here to discuss Craigs cooking. I am especially in favor of discussion comparing his original cooking to his current cooking.

I never said anything was disgusting. I said it was tough and chewy.

I can tell reading comprehension is not a strong point of yours. Most of your posts are mind-numbing one liners. But that's ok. At least you respond quickly. The dial-up at the halfway house must be wicked fast this afternoon.
It sounds like it not be his preparation of the food, but more that the gator meat isn't as tender. I'll still give it a shot, but I fondly remember the gator po boy from when he was downtown. I called one night before I left work, knowing that I'd only make it right after he closed. He told me he'd have it ready. I picked it up as he was closing up shop and it was as good as ever.
