Cruz campaign issuing illegal "checks"

"Just one week after getting in trouble for sending out campaign mailers which told the people of Iowa they would be breaking the law if they didn’t show up and vote for him, Ted Cruz has now found himself in even hotter water. His campaign has been caught sending out mailers in other states which say 'Check Enclosed' on the front in the apparent hope that recipients will open them, looking for money. And now it’s landed Cruz in legal trouble."

Cruz, a former Solicitor General of the state (Texas) where the illegal "checks" were generated and a former law professor at that state's premier university, needs to tighten the controls on his campaign if he wishes to avoid further embarrassment of this kind.

He could have given them free cigarettes like the obama workers did. I don't think what Cruz did was illegal anyway, more of beternnun's "half the story" threads. Look at beternnun's source for the article.
