Here's to Lauderdale County getting the Sheriff they need/want.  Would you be so fortunate as we are in LawCo in that regard.

But I'm curious, Kate.  By the time debates roll around, I, like you, am leaning towards one candidate, so much so that debates are more like entertainment than a basis for determining my choice for my vote ...  unless something dramatic happens.  I can't even give you an example of what that might be.  Unless if I was for Gore and the time he stalked GWB around the stage.  I would have voted for Dracula before Gore.

Anyhow, what will/would have to have happened for you not to vote for your favorite?

I wasn't impressed with Hendershot. He read his answers verbatim from his notes instead of using them as a guide and it sounded like it was the first time he read them. He also didn't answer many of the questions directly. For example, the question about how social media will be utilized by his department. He talked about how wonderful the internet is but never stated how his department will take advantage of it. I don't think he was trying to hide anything I just don't think he has a vision for the LCSO. If he gets elected he'll be in way over his head and I'm afraid we'll have at least 4 more years of what we've had for the last 20.

Singleton can draw his city retirement since it is not connected to the state retirement system. If he was a retired state employee he could only earn an annual salary of approximately $22,000 a year.
