i have only been there once, but i didn't like it. where i sat may have had something to do with it - our table looked right up the main counter where they worked (strange design of that dining room). i really did not enjoy watching people scrambling around, looking harried while i was trying to eat.

the food was so so, and our waiter bugged us (i guess that's better than being ignored). i will say we went pretty soon after it opened, so that's not necessarily a fair time to judge a place. that wouldn't fix that work counter open-to-view issue, though.

with all the good places around to eat, i have not cared anything about going back....
I took my 4 yo DD to Demo's and did not like it. Their specialty soup tasted like Campbell's canned soup to me. I requested one thing be left off of DD's plate because of the gluten, it was not left off. Ignored by waiter, unpleasant experience all the way around. I am always ready to give a generous tip, but this guy didn't get a good one. We won't go back to Demo's.
I have eaten at Demos 2 times, and both times were pretty good. The only thing that I have bad to say is that they dont have sweet tea. They have unsweet tea only and if you order sweet tea then they bring you out unsweet with a container of sugar syrup to sweeten it yourself. And so being from Alabama and all I asked where was the sweet tea was and my waiter told me that Demos is a northern restraunt and northerns do not know what sweet tea is. My answer was 'this is Alabama and we love our sweet tea!'

The waiter was ignorant of his own place of employment,Demos is of the Nashville area which is hardly northern
The original Demos' is in Murfreesboro, I've been there quite a few times as well as the one in Nashville. It's not a northern restaurant.

I've also been to the one in Florence, the food was exactly the same, fast service, and decent prices. A trip to Demos' is not complete without dipping their awesome bread in the chicken and rice soup. The one in Florence is just as good as at the original one.

I'm not really sure why they do sweet tea the way they do. My guess is that it's because they try to have an upscale dining feel. Usually, unsweet tea is served and you sweeten it yourself. That's just my theory though.

For me, if you forget to put the sugar in your tea when you brew it, it's as out of place as if you forget to put the meat on your burger. I don't see how northerners drink it that way, but more power to them.

I was there about two weeks ago. I asked my waiter, he said "we don't have any type of potatoes."

they must have added them.

He obviously meant they were out as in had ran out,I've had em many times from when they first opened and as recent as 3 days ago and they have stuffed potatoes too,3 types actually
