I have a small problem when someone tells me what to think of something someone else said. Usually, I try to find out what was said, and the context it was said in. This time it was so easy I could have stayed glued to the tube.

Amanda Marcotte got herself in the cross hairs recently, but taking the blogmaster positon in the John Edwards Campaign. What happened to her is about enough to launch my lunch into the ceramic throne.

If your doctrine is WORLD domination, starting with women, or anyone who might possibly question your authority for setting such a course is a good plan.

I know it's a good plan, because I use a similar strategy while trying to derail the Doctrine of Domination.

Moving forward is progress, but first, know which way is forward.

Southern Patriot, I get the message, you have accepted as gospel the commentary of the RADICAL right regarding what she said. I think the Conservatives have overblown what she did say, reintrepreted it in the worst possible light and silenced her because she resists their agenda.

You may well disagree, but then I have to remind you, I MAY ABHOR WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY, BUT I WILL DEFEND TO THE DEATH YOUR RIGHT TO SAY IT.

Now, that said, I would agree that the lady should be OUT OF POLITICS ENTIRELY if, and only if, I thought the Neo Conservative Babbling Heads were right about her. I don't think they are, it would have reqired an imbicile to hire a biggot to speak for him in a Presidential Campaign, and John Edwards may be a lot of things, BUT HE IS NOT AN IMBICILE.

Then you must really have a problem with PBA. Big Grin

midknightrider,
I do, when he tells me what to think, BUT WHEN HE TELLS ME TO THINK, I AM GRATEFUL.

Now, InfantryNCO, I do not consider Rush Limbaugh a Liberal, and I doubt that you do. He consistantly tells his listeners that they DO NOT HAVE TO THINK BECAUSE HE IS DOING THEIR THINKING FOR THEM. I have been told, BY YOU, what I should think.

You may not believe you have TOLD me what to think, in fact, you TOLD ME TO THINK "liberals are so good at it," on this page.

No Liberals hate women. Thats why they ruin them with abortions, no one is allowed to discuss the long term repercussions of the procedure. I know of NO woman who wasnt horribly affected by it. I am a conservative. I would love to have a woman president just not clinton or pelosi or feingold type...gimme condi rice anyday

Reflecting, I think you have a point. So, why is the Conservative position on recreational sex so oppressive to women, and men as well? What is with the Conservative position that providing profilactic education is wrong? Why do conservative people stand so strongly against prevention of abortion? Why do the stats show that Red States have a higher rate of out of wedlock pregnancies? Why is it that the conservatives decry the consequences, and the means to prevent the problem in the first place? Why is the conservative position so ANTI WOMAN, IF IT IS NOT HATRED?
After the original post on this thread, the comments quickly slid down that slippery slope into the assumption that this blogger was fired. She was not. She was a campaigner who was harassed and threatened until she felt that resigning would be the best way to 'contribute' to the campaign.

Please keep in mind that she had been publishing her thoughts and writings on her (popular) blog long before Edwards *recruited* her to join his campain and serve as the official blogger of sorts. Edwards should have considered his choice more carefully, as her own leanings are far left of his.

While one might assume that people could differentiate between a personal blog and one done for a campaign, apparently there are many people who are simply unable to do so for whatever reason.
