Do you acknowledge Easter? Have your family in for lunch or dinner? Do your children/Grandchildren hunt Easter eggs?

I have a tradition of burnt offerings of large rabbits, hedgehogs and green eggs.
When the kids were little we'd get them a basket, and hide eggs for them and other kids in the family. Sometimes they'd be invited to "group" hunts, but they never really seemed that interested in it so it was never a big deal. Now, in our house, it's just another day.
The Easter Egg Hunt has nothing to do with Christianity which is actually related to Pagan traditions. I've heard old folks say that the egg represents the stone that was rolled away from Christ's tomb, revealing his resurrection. Weird, the things that people come up with.
When I was very young (18-19) we had two large table lamps with a large
enough base you could easily hide an egg under the base. Well no one
found eggs and the inventory workers must have been out of pocket. That's
when everybody thought something hit the fan. My mother went wild.
Since the eggs weren't discovered in a reasonable amount time it made it
hard on the innocent ones that had nothing to do with hiding the damm eggs
in the first place. That's how I remember the time we had an indoor hunt.
Just a gorgeous day here.
After church the extended family on my mom's side get together and do it all.
They are a fun loving bunch. My mom is 70 years old and still gets a kick out of hiding and hunting Easter eggs.
Lol, but you have to understand........one winter evening when we all got together we batted a balloon around the cabin and laughed until we cried. We are a little warped........

That's great! I bet she's a sweetheart!
When the kids were small we had a lab, and she kept bringing the eggs back to us. We had to put her in the garage.

A little warped in a good way is a good thing. Keep family close.

She wanted to play too.
Did any of you ever have a Prize egg to look for, that had money in it? I had a cousin that would cry & pitch a fit if he didn't find that egg. His parents would put money in another egg, hide it & no one was allowed to hunt for it but him. That Aunt/Uncle was talked about for hours by other adults after they left.
Yes, the golden egg with money in it, or a little toy, or a special candy.
You bunch of Pagans........
She didn't find a prize!!
KNOXVILLE, Tennessee– A woman made a disturbing discovery during an Easter egg hunt for her four-year-old son.
According to WBIR, during the hunt in her backyard, she found the body of a man under her deck.
The woman reportedly told police she’d been looking for the source of a bad odor for days, but couldn’t find anything, until Wednesday during the egg hunt.
Authorities said the body may have been there for as long as two weeks; they are waiting for autopsy results to learn more.
Did you look in his pockets..??
