The convict who escaped from a New York prison has been caught. He was swiftly tracked down and found to be carrying a Confederate Flag, church parishioner killing guns and bullets, food stamps, a receipt for a donation to the Democratic National Committee and marriage license listing his fellow escapee as his wife. The only people claiming credit for his capture are politicians who  were never in the hunt and are showing up now that he is safely in custody.

Without any "priors," what would a background check have uncovered?

I do know that depending on the facility, Correction Officers are given a psych exam while being vetted, but not necessarily a sewing shop supervisor.

The CO that failed to follow procedure and scan the meat is in all likelihood more trouble than she is.

And the warden has a lot of 'splainin' to do.
