FLASHBACK! How Liberal Hypocrites Used Dubya’s Daughters, and Insulted his Mother, to Bash The Prez!

Ever since Wednesday when the National Rifle Association released their commercial calling President Obama an elitist and a hypocrite for having his daughters protected with armed guards while trying to take away our rights to defend ourselves, the liberal world has swooned with indignation and disgust!

How dare the NRA exploit the president’s children for their political agenda?!?! Don’t they know he’s a Democrat and this is outlawed?!

Only Republicans’ children can be used to embarrass and ridicule them, everyone knows that!

Take, for instance, how liberals used any inkling of ill behavior by George W. Bush’s daughters to mock and deride him!

As early as 2001, Debbie Schlussel noted the weird obsession the press had with mocking Dubya’s daughters:

The press ought to be ashamed. Their perverted coverage of Jenna and Barbara Bush sounds like Playboy’s “Twin” issue and “Ivy League” edition packed into one.

Take the New York Daily News headline, “DOUBLE TROUBLE,” or New York Post’s “JENNA AND TONIC.” And there’s Newsweek’s June 11th issue, containing, “Busted Again in Margaritaville: The President’s Twins.”

At a Hollywood awards ceremony in 2001, actor Nathan Lane joked, We feel like the Bush twins at happy hour.”

Salon in the article, “President Dumbass” praised Comedy Central’s mockery of George Bush, but lamented that they weren’t allowed to have his daughters have an incestual lesbian relationship!

One sitcom cliché missing from “That’s My Bush,” though, is the brood of adorable, mischievous kids. Comedy Central ordered Parker and Stone to drop their planned portrayal of Bush twins Jenna and Barbara as sexy lesbian lovers.

In 2006, ABC NEWS reported unfounded and unsubstantiated rumors about the Bush girls being kicked out of Argentina.

Based on these rumors, execrable chandelier idiot Kieth Olbermann gave a springboard to Mo Rocca to make even further mocking accusations:

ROCCA: Look, we have to remember the expression running around in a hotel naked in Argentina is an example of magical realism, a technique that‘s common in Argentinean literature and journalism. The translation here is they were running around topless. It is simply that. The same press account said that Jenna, the blonde one, was so beautiful that she exploded into flames of fire. Now, granted they were drinking a lot, so they were highly flammable perhaps, but this is hyperbole.

Can they get any more disgusting? Of course they can, they’re liberals!

ROCCA: You know, I would say that-let me also clarify that this sighting you‘re talking about on Galker, it did say, and I have it right here, that Barbara Bush was sucking down oysters and making out with some guy. This is actually in reference to former first lady Barbara Bush. Right, and we should remember that oysters, of course, are an aphrodisiac, especially after a couple of vodka stingers.

So they’re using the Bush daughters to mock George Bush, who was president at the time, and his mother.

Yeah, his mom.

In 2008, Liberal Gutter-Site, Wonkette implied some incestual relationship between Dubya and his daughter Jenna based on the fact that they danced to what they describe as “Creepy yacht-rock **** ballad ‘You Are So Beautiful’ “ at her wedding.

But that’s all okay. Because these are horrid, evil Republicans.

Back to the NRA story, there was even an official response from the White House, as Jay Carney called the NRA “repugnant and cowardly,” and that the President’s daughters shouldn’t be used as “pawns in a political fight.”

That’s absolutely right!

Just like Arianna Huffington would have NEVER attacked George W. Bush as hypocrites by way of using his brother Jeb’s daughter as a pawn in a political fight.

Oh wait…

I feel nothing but sympathy and concern for Noelle Bush. Her latest stumble on the rocky road to recovery — being caught with crack cocaine at a drug rehab center — shows that she is in desperate need of help.

But when I think about the heartless stance the governor has taken toward the drug problems of those less fortunate and well connected than his daughter, my empathy turns to outrage.

If America’s drug laws were applied consistently, Jeb Bush and his familywould be evicted from their publicly funded digs… the rich and powerful are judged by a very different set of rules.

Wait, doesn’t it sound like Arianna is slamming former President George Bush for being an “elitist hypocrite” based on his brother’s actions to protect his daughter?

Just for extra measure, remember when John Kerry, who went to Vietnam, made sure to repeat twice the sexual preference of **** Chaney’s daughter in a presidential debate, in order to try to pare off some conservative votes for Bush?

That was just brilliant statesmanship!!

He’s gonna be our Secretary of State, by the way!

Yeah. Those Republicans sure are hypocritical, unlike those morally upright liberals.

Its not just the liberals and liberal media.  How about Rush Limbaugh calling Amy Carter "the most unattractive presidential daughter in the history of the country" and that Chelsea Clinton looks like a dog.   So nothing new here.  Happens on both sides of the aisle.

http://www.cnn.com/2014/12/02/...cal-kids-off-limits/

(CNN) -- Presidential kids are off-limits. That's the unwritten rule in Washington.

But rules are broken -- and Elizabeth Lauten is hardly the first one to do so.

Lauten, communications director for Tennessee Rep. Stephen Fincher, resigned from her post after setting off a social media firestorm by railing against the Obama daughters.

In a Thanksgiving-Day screed on Facebook, she scolded Malia and Sasha Obama, 16 and 13 years old, respectively, for what she said was their inappropriate outfits and their bored looks during Wednesday's turkey pardoning ceremony.

"Try showing a little class," Lauten wrote.

"Dress like you deserve respect, not a spot at a bar. And certainly don't make faces during televised, public events," she concluded.

She later apologized, but the post went viral.

CNN political analyst John Avlon said Lauten's reaction was "way out of order. "

"Let's reality check here, folks. This is a turkey pardon. This is not a matter of war and peace. This is kind of an odd bit of show dating back to Harry Truman," he said. "And I think a bunch of teenagers could be pretty easily forgiven for not taking it too terribly seriously without insulting the republic."

GOP staffer resigns over criticism of Obama daughters

The White House expressed shock, but so did the GOP.

"Children, especially the first daughters, should be off-limits in the political discourse from attacks," said Sean Spicer, the Republican National Committee communications director.

It has long been a bipartisan goal to respect, and protect, the privacy of presidential kids, who are living in a fishbowl through no fault of their own. But that hands-off policy has limits. Here are some examples from the recent past:

Amy Carter

Amy was just 9 years old when her father, Jimmy Carter, took up residence in the White House in 1977.

Her first day of class at a public elementary school was a media circus, with photographers snapping shots just a few feet away of her in a stocking cap, jacket and Snoopy tote bag.

The school quickly established some ground rules to ensure a semblance of normalcy. Even the Secret Service agents who accompanied her had to wait in an office across the hall.

Chelsea Clinton

This first daughter turned 13 about a month after the inauguration of her father, Bill Clinton.

Wanting her to have a normal childhood, the Clintons asked the media to limit their coverage of Chelsea to public events.

"We really work hard on making sure that Chelsea doesn't let other people define her sense of her own self-worth," President Bill Clinton said in a 1992 People magazine interview. "It's tough when you are an adolescent because peer opinion and other people's opinion become more important. But I think she'll be OK."

Still, it wasn't long before "Saturday Night Live" and Rush Limbaugh took a crack at Chelsea, mocking her appearance. Limbaugh compared her to a dog.

.

He then recounted how he apologized once to Amy Carter for calling her "the most unattractive presidential daughter in the history of the country."

Jenna and Barbara Bush

Jenna and Barbara, daughters of George W. Bush, were already young adults -- but not of legal drinking age -- when their names were splashed in headlines during the spring of 2001 after getting caught with liquor.

Largely ignored by the media up to that point, the 19-year-olds were branded "party girls" by the tabloids.

Five weeks later, Jenna was in trouble again for attempting to use a fake ID to buy alcohol.

A "New York Post" headline screamed: "Jenna and Tonic - Bush daughter in new booze incident as twin sister watched."

And all of this happened before the age of social media, in which the Obama daughters now live.

When everyone has a voice via Facebook, Twitter and the like, the children of political families may be subjected to the same swings and arrows as their parents.

It shows how "divided and how dumb and mean-spirited so many of our debates are right now," Avlon said.

"It's an indication of how ugly and undercutting the politics are that even kids are fair game to some people who are punching way below their weight. It's ugly, ugly stuff."

I don't know what limbaugh said about amy carter or anyone else.  Carter was before my political time and I can't remember ever listening to, or reading anything limbaugh said. However, carter is one unfortunate looking piece of work, due to the fact she resembles her father so strongly . I do vaguely remember the clintons asking that no one make fun of chelsea, another unfortunate looking girl, due imo, of having hilliary as her mother and web hubbell as her father. A very unfortunate mix as far as looks go, but then again, she'd have fared no better had bill really been her father. As I posted before, the media has bent over backwards to protect the obamas, and the turkey thing was so very mild that only in liberal land would it be made a big deal. Get back to me when someone starts calling them incestuous lesbians or insinuating they are sleeping with their father.

SNL is so far left they have fallen off the radar so I had to see just what they had said about chelsea clinton and omg, how stupid is this, they apologized!!!

=================

  • Movie star Mike Myers sent an apology to the White House after a skit on Saturday Night Live mentioned Chelsea. The skit was an episode of the fictional show Wayne's World in which Wayne, played by Myers, and his sidekick Garth, played by Dana Carvey, said of the Gore daughters, "If they were a president, they'd be Babe-raham Lincoln." Then: "Chelsea... well, she's a babe in development." The tame joke prompted not only an apology from Myers but from Carvey and show executive producer Lorne Michaels.

I am sure everyone on here talking about other peoples looks are model material ! Jeze get a life people, this is the kind of stuff that makes me sick!   Both sides need to show a little class and stick to the facts not how people are born.

Nope, not model material, but by dang sure better looking than amy carter or chelsea clinton, and commenting on what I darn well want to comment on. I wish all these people telling others to "get a life" would get one of their own and maybe they wouldn't stress over mine.

Best we usually agree but you are IMHO starting down a bad path but it is yours to walk not mine.   I hate to see you get in the gutter with the liberals, you will only get dirty. Comment away I really don't care just shows no class to talk that way end of story !

I really don't care what you think of my "class", and I have no idea what "path" you think I am going down. I called them "unfortunate" looking. I could have been more brutal. I didn't comment on the looks of the obama girls, although they are not the prize hogs at the fair either.

Both sides are acting like the pot calling the kettle black.                                               Highflyer2, have some advice from a liberal, good luck, she's right anybody else is wrong.

I have my opinion. I know you lefties don't agree that anyone that doesn't think like you should have an opinion. And yes, I'm right. I had said nothing about obama's kids' looks, and all I said about chelsea's and amy's were that they were unfortunate looking. Much nicer than what the stinking demoslops said about the Bush family.
