There is no shortage of complaints about the Affordable Care Act, the unfortunately named massive health-care law still roiling the nation. Embarrassing website issues and keep-your-doctor-keep-your-plan backtracking have occupied center stage. Add to that a kind of Hunger Games, the system’s voracious need to sign up young people to offset the cost for others. Come on down, say the advertisements.

It must be underscored that this isn’t only the President’s law. Congress passed it, and it is hard to get past the naming ironies so prevalent in Washington. Taxes and fees abound, and when it comes out of your pocket, it matters little whether a tax or fee label is applied. In 2014, Americans must dig deeper for the health care they need in ways that don’t meet the eye.

Shame on you folks for bringing up Crash, after all it's the good Democrats like him and all the other Democrats who are Responsible for this healthcare system and should be recognized as such since they voted for Obama and the Democrats who enacted this ( aka forced it upon all of us ).

Lets also not forget our Chief Justice John Roberts who put Social and Political Pressure above Principal and the Constitutions principal to limit the powers of the federal government in order to find a way to make the law legal by recognizing or identifying it as a TAX rather than a Healthcare bill.  He said it wasn't his nor the courts job to protect us from the politicians that we freely elect.  So thank a Democrat for this bill and remember our Supreme Court Check and Balance that was designed in the Constitution is no longer a working and functioning Check against run a way government and a run-a-way executive branch or legislation that runs contrary to the Constitution itself.

thanks for keeping me on your mind... each of you. i appreciate the fact that i can occupy you wingnuts and not even have to say a word!

what a GREAT example of the republican party as a whole... they do the same thing! wait for someone else to do something... then complain. this thread is a prime example of why republicans keep losing elections... no action, only reaction.

My taxes have gone up a pretty good bit because of this. We are being forced to get more aggressive in our charitable contributions to offset the tax increase.

I also would not typically own bonds at my age but the tax equivalent yields are now attractive enough to justify adding a portion to our investments. Munis are also exempt from the 3.8% Obomacare tax!

Would it kill you...to actually provide essential "facts" when you post????  Links?

But...then again...all of this "ducking and dodging" ...given the FACTS of your current Messiah...must leave you very little energy...

oh, don't pay any attention to the question... make sure you degrade the poster!

what's wrong putz? lose your outrage?

when the bill went into effect. It was a disaster. Computer systems didn't communicate with one another. Seniors were confused. Some of the poorest and sickest enrollees -- "dual eligibles" who qualify for aid under both Medicare and Medicaid -- weren't able to get their drugs. It was so bad that in his 2006 State of the Union address, Bush "said nothing about the new Medicare prescription drug program, an initiative Republicans once hoped to trumpet but has angered many seniors in its implementation," reported the Washington Post........

i wonder who said that?

"Two weeks into the new Medicare prescription drug program, many of the nation's sickest and poorest elderly and disabled people are being turned away or overcharged at pharmacies, prompting more than a dozen states to declare health emergencies and pay for their life-saving medicines." Roughly 6.4 million seniors who just days earlier had gotten their prescriptions for free faced the prospect of going without because of untrained pharmacists and computer glitches.

where was the 'outrage'? for some reason, i just can't seem to find it.

Obamacare was supposed to lower the 30 to 40 million without insurance, plus cut the number who visit the ER and don't pay.

So far, 6.2 to 6.5 million have lost their insurance.  During the same period 2.2 million have signed up. This, for those with individual policies that should include to 30 to 40 million with no insurance.  Oregon just release a study, which I referred to in another thread, that shows the visits to the ER by those on the new Medicaid exchange will visit the ER 40 percent more.

The thing is failing fast.  All Crash can do is call everyone a right wing nut who point out this monumental failure.

There are not enough layers of paint to make the obamacare **** look like anything else but what it is, a pile of crap.

This year prepare for a slow moving avalanche.  The 2,2 million enrolled counts Medicaid signups and counts those who haven't paid, yet.  The deadline is 31 March, after which, data will be available for the up to 15 percent of the populace. By this summer, the insurance companies will know what they must charge those insured thru the companies.  Shortly after, the employees will either be dropped, or informed of the new rates.  Full time personnel may be informed of cuts in time.

Its going to be a bumpy ride for all.  For Democrats, the ride ends badly.

How does it feel...to SUCK...

Really...SUCK...

Keep SUCKING ObamaCare...

Fricking....LOOSER!

Bahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

I gave the statistics and assumed even Crash could draw a conclusion.  Unfortunately, he proved incapable.  To spell it out, the individual mandate was supposed to attract not only those with insurance, but the 30 to 40 million without insurance.  Not only has it not attracted those, its left another 4 million, plus, without insurance and there's little hope this will improve.  Again, arrogance and incompetence in a nasty mix.  9
