An eating place inside a gas staion? Why not film at a real restaurant?

Ain't that the truth. My eyes and ears have been privy to this hail-mary musical event at LSB, and it's not gonna do much for the state of Alabama or for Lock Stock & Barrel.

It looked and sounded like the consolation round of the beauty pagent from the Wayne County Corn Cob Festival, held on a stage built from milk crates and discarded pallets.

It was bad. And at the very least newsworthy? FoxNews can't be approaching this seriously.

I believe the end is near for Lock Stock & Barrel. This event (which has undoubtedly been secured through a financial transaction), the constant menu changes/additions, combined with the apparent owners petty, tongue-in-cheek postings on this forum all spell trouble for this place.

Looks like their will be even more vacant retail space in Florence soon.

LOL, at least the people who have been interviewed about the Huntsville massacre have sounded intelligent. Granted, they work at a college. You rarely see people interviewed from here who can make complete sentences and don't sound like they just stepped out of a cave.

Well maybe you should get in your pink Prius, and move your uppity a$s one hour east.

Sincerely,

A local caveman

Did it not perhaps occur to you that the open mic event is the creation of the folks at this "gas station restaurant" and that the camera crew and producer are going where the action actually is? If some "real restaurant" had developed an activity like this, then perhaps the camera crew would have landed there.
Something is truly "real" when it is accepted and patronized by an appreciative public. Good on you, Lock, Stock & Barrel!

Of course, it occurred to me. It also occurred to me that Fox is after a good comedy show about a bunch of "Alabama Hicks", which I'm sure is how they view the people here. Sad, isn't it?

The funniest quote I ever heard about a tornado in Alabama was this...
(people are standing in front of a really messed up trailor pointing at it... )There is our trailor where we were in the living room. We thought we heard a train and it got really loud and then the washing machine blew right off the front porch.
..I seriously saw this back when I was a teen...granted it was in the southern part of Alabama. LOL

Ummm... there are plenty of open mic nights around the area. It's not like LSB is the first place to host one.
