So, Contendah, are you also lobbying for big,bad, greedy Big Business Guy Richard Scrushy? He and Siegelman were tried on the exact same charges, and Siegelman was found guilty on more counts. Guess that makes the former Healthsouth leader more innocent than old Don.

There is an argument that certain federal laws are so arcane that breaking them requires prescience. Siegelman was prosecuted first by a Republican. Then, a Democrat aministration upheld that sentence, So, please, no Karll Rove references,
The injustice is that Scrushy isn't sharing a cell with Siegelman.
Don Siegelman's administration made George Wallace's henchmen look like choirboys. If you did business with the State of Alabama, Siegelman got his cut. He was simply viscous, and many in this state were absolutely in fear of the man.
The Feds just got him convicted on the easiest charges to bring against him. There were many, many more serious charges that he should have been convicted of that were going to be more difficult to prove. At least they got him off the streets for a few years.
