Hmmm.  The population continues to grow and the area does not.  Discuss.

Europe has practiced managed hunting for centuries successfully, although mostly on private land.  Hunters pay for the hunt and according to how much of the game they wish to keep.  The rest is sold on the private market.  In Berlin, the large department store KaDaWe has sold boar for years.  There are cafes that specialize in wild foods, usually named after god/goddess of the hunt.
