Hi to all my Forum Friends,

GOD IS WORKING IN ISLA VISTA!   Reading the article below, I am reminded of another church which, in 1965, saw the needs of young people lost in society's drug and alcohol culture -- and, led by God, decided to make a difference in those young lives.

That church was Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa and the man who decided to take God into the Orange County drug culture was Chuck Smith and his wife, Kay.  We all know the great success God gave them -- as we have watched the Calvary Chapel Movement spread across America and around the world.

I cannot read about this church in Isla Vista, started for much the same reason, without envisioning the great success God gave Chuck and Kay Smith when they agreed to follow His lead in Orange County.

Now I am excited to see what this young pastor, Jason Lomelino, will do in Isla Vista, California.   Another "Calvary Chapel" type movement?

I am asking all my Friends to pray for this young pastor and what he has been led by God to do in Isla Vista, a community which has seen too many tragedies among the young people living there.  Give this young pastor and this young church all the support you can, prayer or whatever.

You can start by reading this article -- and then by sharing it with all your FRANs (Friend, Relatives, Associates, and Neighbors).   Keep this article flying around the internet.  For, if one life is saved, it is worth it.  And, if one soul is saved -- we can all celebrate with the angels in heaven.

Luke 15:7,10:  "I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.  (10) In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."

Hi all,

The Cabal must have overlooked this one.  I was sure that because this article mentioned "Jesus Burgers" -- one of them would have run to the TD Mods whining that this should have been in the Food Forum.

Do you think maybe some of the Cabal are starting to get religion?  Maybe they crave a "Jesus Burger."   He is a God of miracles; so who knows what wonders He will do among our wayward Friends.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

I guess Jesus Burgers are the fundamentalist equivalent of the Eucharist.  Good eatin' folks!!!!

Only a narcissist like Bill DHL™ would whine that the people he hates is ignoring his post.

Now he will try to look the puppet-master and claim that he has succeeded in getting his post a bump from the cabal; when all along, he has only shamelessly bumped his own post (an act of desperate attention seekers).

Johhny No Cred really is a pathetic person.

Crusty, my Friend,

Offering Jesus Burgers in this ministry - is like the Bingo Games for the Roman Catholic church - and I suppose like the Beer Blasts that you and your atheist Friends support -- just a way to get folks attention so that we can share our faith with them.

You see, unlike the Bingo Games which are to raise funds, and your Beer Blasts which costs money -- the Jesus Burgers are free.  Just as the gift of eternal life in Christ is free to all who will, by grace through faith in His finished work on the cross -- believe and receive His "paid in full" gift.

Bingo and your beer costs us!   Eternal life through Jesus Christ is FREE!  Now, that is a deal you cannot refuse -- or should I say - a deal that you SHOULD NOT refuse.

Bless your little Beer Blast heart!

Bill

Contendah, my Friend,

I would much rather be involved in a church which is so active that some malcontents throw stones at it and attempt to show fault -- than to be involved in a church which I have to be ASHAMED to even name.

While I have never been a member of Calvary Chapel -- I most certainly have learned a lot from them on KWVE Christian Radio.  I would most certainly not be ASHAMED to be a member of that church, nor to have called Pastor Chuck my pastor.

How about you?  Can YOU say the same about the church and the pastor where you attend?

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill
