Good Union members

i hope, after the latest news, the republicans decide to say out of VW's affairs and let the people decide if they wish to go union, without the threats...  unconfirmed reports say VW is pulling plans for the new plant at a cost of 13000 jobs. way to go , regressives.

I'm a union member and I'm with Hi on that one. Crime is crime no matter who commits it.

You lie. We only condemn gun owners who are crazy. Not one in the governemnt is trying to take away guns from sane people, but making it more difficult for crazy people to obtain guns would be good policy. If you are concerned about that, maybe you are one who should not have guns

I was responding to a stupid generalization in kind.

I'm willing to bet, that if the truth be known, a lot of women , both Liberal and Conservative do not like guns. My great grandmother made my g grandfather throw a trunk load of pistols he had confiscated as sheriff down a well. But, then , I guess she was a Liberal.
I do think that background checks should be at gun shows . There are a lot of people, like the gun lobby, that wants everybody to be armed, so that if a crazy person comes in shooting, they can then shoot him. If he comes in a school, maybe he can only kill 5 or 10 kids before they get him. I'm willing to place a money wager, that the parents of the dead children would have preferred background check that would have stopped the crazy from even getting a gun to start with, but all the gun nuts wll praise the armed citizen that killed the crazy.

The last two or three guns I have bought, they did a background check , and it didn't take as long to do that as it did for me to pull my credit card out of my wallet. (well, almost), and I don't see how the right wingnuts somehow translate that into "Obama's gonna take my guns away".
I guess that is the type of reasoning that the poster I replied to uses, and now that I think about it, maybe he is worried that they will find he is crazy, and will deny his purchase, and maybe the guys in the white suits will come and get him. Unless it's that, I just don't understand that jump.

I think, these people listen to the likes of Glen Beck, or Rush , or Fox, and get told that enough that they believe it. "Tell a big enough lie, long enough to enough people, and they will come to believe it "  ie the Goebbels effect.

I have read that comment many times.  This last time, I realized what was wrong.  She is a politician and she was telling the truth.  Or was she lying again?
