Nobody gives a s#*! about my email-or yours-or anybody else's.

-Unless ya give 'em a reason to.

So you would be ok with them reading your regular mail?

Obamacracy at work.

Watch for more.

If they wanna read my bills, they can have at it.

Did you honestly think that with their resources that they couldn't if they really wanted to anyway?

Just like the "cold, dead fingers" gun argument...

But not to worry. As long as ya don't give 'em a reason to read your stuff-and I imagine ya gotta try really hard to get 'em to.....Nobody's gonna give a crap what's in your mail, e- or otherwise.

Really while we are at lets get rid of the right to remain silent or get a lawyer after all if you have not done anything nothing to worry about.  Email is fast taking over the mail if it has not already of the way people write to write each other, why would you not want the same protections as regular mail.

Because once you digitize something and put it on the internet-it's dang near impossible to protect without some serious encryption/decryption software-all of which the government has access to, or would be able to quickly get access to if they needed it.

Nothn' personal, but you reactionaries are pretty much all the same....

Nobody cares what you write to your aunt Sally...

Nothn' personal, but you reactionaries are pretty much all the same....

So believing in the protections offed by the Constitution is being reactionary?  The current Patriot Act easily allows the government the ability to gather information on suspected bad guys.  This proposal would allow unchecked access to any Americans email.  You can waive you rights if you want but I would rather keep mine.

I think it's because we have always known that HACKERS have had access to our emails all along. So what difference does it make? No one with any sense would write anything in an email that they didn't want the world to see, so I'm not worried about the government OR the hackers. What are they going to do, find out that I miss my friends who are far away and that I wish them a happy Thanksgiving?

Sorry that does not wash with me.  Using that logic they should be able to read your mail after all it takes no skills at all to walk up to someones mailbox and just open your mail.  There are all kinds of emails sent today containing bank, credit card info or work applications containing all your personal info. etc.

Nope, Putting on the tinfoil hat and chanting doom and gloom over something that nobody gives a crap about is being reactionary.  Next You'll be telling me that the HAARP antenna array is a big mind control/weather control/earthquake-causing device...(you'd be amazed at how many people around here think that...)

Also, like O NO! said, hackers from all over the world are hammering away at your email/open ports all day long looking for computers to zombify for DDOS attacks or hold hostage for ransom.  The protections offered by the constitution of the United States don't matter one whit in the global network that is the internet.  If you put anything out there-expect the world to be able to see it.

Expecting privacy on the net is ridiculous.  Welcome to the 21st century.

But they CAN'T just walk up to my mailbox and open my mail. They would have to break into my house to do so because I have a mail slot in my door. Plus, any important mail is delivered to my shop and placed in my hand by my mail carrier.

So true Road Puppy, I hope that they are not setting by waiting for me to send an email, because I do not email much.  If they are reading our emails, they have a big job, that's a lot of emails   lol But like RP said, nobody gives a s#*!.
