From some reports, the shooter was originally from the Sudan, and it was a predominantly white church.  Whether this is fact or not, I'm sure we'll find out. Though I have a feeling this will get nowhere near the media coverage if it had been the other way around.

Prayers for those wounded and families losing loved ones.

My niece watches over a group of Sudanese young men that were part of the 2000 mile march overland to escape genicide, etc.--The Boys of Sudan.  A large percentage died in route--eaten by lions and killed by rhinos and hippos.

The first of 12 was dropped off in Midtown Manhattan.  He'd never even seen a bathroom at the time, and grew up "camping out."  His buddies later joined him in Memphis where there are over 400 Sudanese living.

The Boys speak 4 languages, and they're highly intelligent.  As little children raising themselves, they only had one toy--a soccer ball.  And they're very sweet natured guys and now they're in their early 30's.  They're finishing college and gravitating through life as computer engineers, etc.  They were always very nice to my late 80's mother--very respectful to the elderly.

The Murfreesboro fellow from Sudan obviously wasn't one of The Boys.
