My husband and I moved to Greenhill a little over 2 years ago when we bought our first house. Before we lived in Killen which was on Florence water. Now we are on Greenhill water and I have not had a good hair day in the 2 years that we've lived there. Sometimes I will go to my parents house just to wash my hair (they live just outside Florence city limits) just so I can have a good hair day!!! Any advice on something I can try. My hair just never feels clean no matter what shampoo I use. I feels like it doesnt rinse it all out. Same with soap. I never feel fully clean like I used to when we had Florence water. I got an inexpensive shower head filter at Lowes but that doesnt help. I would appreciate any advice other than washing my hair with bottled water!!!

Thoroughly wet your hair. Put a dollop of baking soda in your palm and mix a little shampoo with it. Work in it all the way down to your scalp. Let it sit on your hair for about a minute. Rinse and shampoo again with just shampoo. Removes the buildup. You may have to use conditioner afterwards because your hair will be really really clean and probably tangle like crazy.
I live in Green Hill and I was always under the impression that our water came from Florence. I know when we had the ice storm they had to bring a generator out and put it at the top or Happy Hollow Hill to pump the water up because the electricity was out. It may be different now but if it is I wasn't aware of it.
Yes, it will. I assumed the OP would know not to do it more than once eo week or so. OP, you don't want to do this often if you do it and thanks, semiannualchick, for reminding me to add this. Also, if it's your actual water and not product build-up, softer water is key. On the other hand, water that is too soft will leave your hair feeling slimy.
