Comey answered what was asked. Said he didn't trust Trumps honesty. That was sort of funny, if you listen to Trump make a speech you can count the lies
He was asked about the credibility of leaked newspaper reports of the trouble Trump was in and you and Crash had a field day about. And they he said they all got it wrong. Y'all along with CNN and the MSM that piggybacked. Wrong. Trump has never been under investigation. The congressional committee had known it for months.
He was asked wasn't it the duty of a FBI agent to report a crime [obstruction of justice] and he said he didn't know. A rookie knows that.
He was asked if the memo he wrote regarding the memo regarding Flynn was written shortly after the meeting. He said it was and was written on a classified instrument [which he later "declassified" for ease of accessibility. He was asked if he was a private citizen when he released that memo. He said yes. He was asked if he realized if such documents are the property of the FBI. The committee members asked him nicely if they could have copies.
He said such documents that he wrote as director of the FBI concerning his visits with the POTUS were his personal property.
He said he went over with Sessions the first meeting with Trump about Flynn. The senator from Maine called his bluff and asked him specifically if he told Sessions about Flynn and he changed his story admitting he did not. He was caught in a lie. BTY, the next day in a press conference, Trump said the same thing in public he told Comey at that meeting. By the time the memo was published by the NYT, Trumps feelings about Flynn were already public.
He was asked time and again why he never reported what he considers now a possible violation to his superiors immediately after he became aware of it. Feinstein said he was big and strong. Comey said he just wasn't strong enough. That must be why he gives his memo to a friend to sneak out to the media.
Feeding seagulls, my azz
Only thing the Democrats contributed was the same old hate Trump theme. They had forgotten it was Trump during the campaign that warned of hacking and Obama said it didn't exist. Ending with Reality Winner, how many arrest were made of US citizens [most them of the military] hacking and passing on classified documents to foreign agents during the Obama regime? As many as there were anarchist riots?
Read or listen to Rubio's interrogation. It specifically addresses 3 issues [1] Russian investigation [leaked], [2] Flynn good guy [leaked] and [3] Trump not under investigation [not leaked]
All this information was solely in the hands of the FBI. Who do you think leaked #'s 1 & 2, but not #3 and why? Seem like a disgruntled employee who allows personalities affect his job should have resigned.
Funniest part was when Obama's AG asked Comey to refer to the Clinton email situation as a "matter" and not an investigation. Comey said he was kidded about leading the Federal Bureau of Matters.
Yes, Hillarys emails and Russian hacking fit hand=in=glove.
From your post, I presume you slept thru it.
I look forward to when someone post a transcript of this meeting.
