I'm admittingly coming at this from a different angle than most will expect.   Actually I'm not going to rehash the citing of Biblical scriptures dealing with same sex relations but from a non-Spiritual direction all together.  In fact I'm not even going to make any statements about it at all but rather ask, to those who are non-Christian, non-religious, or do not believe in Creation or a Divine Creator, a question regarding homosexuality.

IF we are just evolving creatures just each a part of all life entities all springing from one molecule or primordial soup/ooze, if you will, then why is there the distinction of sexes at all?  Why are we just not one sex that just duplicates and replicates and divides?  Why would there not be cross species replications even but rather we are limited to variances within our own human species?  Would the existence of homosexuals or one sex that should have been another not fly against natural selection itself with the strongest eliminating the weaker over all these years?   By this I mean obviously same sexes are not going to reproduce thus would natural selection weed out or breed out a condition that would threaten the natural process of male/female reproduction over time?

Just say I'm curious how a non-creationist type person would explain how such would happen and why it is so much more prevalent in humans over all other life forms that exist?

Be as the Bereans ( Acts 17:11 )

Why did a god make a woman and a man and have them reproduce? Why not just play in the mud and make all he wanted? Why have the gestation period last nine months? Why attach such pain and sometimes death with the birth of a child? Why, why, why, why, why? Who knows. No one will ever know, in our lifetime at least, how it all came to be. Why did a god create homosexuals if he was only going to punish them for being homosexuals?

Why not just put the thoughts, ideas, feelings, he wanted in his 'creations' in the first place instead of turning them loose to upset him and make the angels cry? Why did your god slaughter the innocent with the guilty, then stand back and let the monsters, (guilty) of the world, prey on the innocents, especially children? Why? Because there is no god.

That fact solves the mystery of why a god doesn't intervene and do something about the monsters. Now, if we could solve the mystery why people still worship that god that doesn't exist, and do the most vile things imaginable in it's name, turn on and degrade and oppress others in it's name, we might be making progress towards eradicating the horrors religion causes.

Best brings up some great questions that I would love to know the answers to, but will never be answered. Those kind of questions is what set me to thinking & questioning. I decided a long time ago if love is the pain/suffering that God allows for His people, especially children, then I don't want any.

If all He has to do is speak or think it & they're healed, why not do it? Why ignore a faithful person's prayer? Better yet, why bring on sickness at all? Why allow them to suffer in the first place?

Questions no one can answer.

If semi's questions are to be answered the metric will be human motive. That being the case, God does not like everyone and does not respond favorably in every case. Good advice logically would then be not to pizz Him off unnecessarily and hope he never dislikes you.

Since God motive cannot be the metric as we are not God we are in a quandary over the dilemma of it not possibly being a paradox.

The questions you ask are the same as many ask and yes there are questions that there are no answers to or at least satisfactory answers to and I can't explain why those questions are unanswered other than to say there are things that are beyond human comprehension or understanding.  Questions or concepts such as eternity (past and future) I submit are beyond our understanding.   Why God would create mankind or even to allow rebellion or sin to exist is yet another.   Why not just eliminate it from the beginning but then who is to say that God didn't?

We are making judgments about what transpires from our own human understanding and that's all we can do but think about it for a moment.   With regard to creation, mankind, sin, etc.  Say from physical beginning to physical end there is a billion years or a hundred billion years.   What is one Billion years with regard to eternity/infinity?    With regards to infinity or eternity one billion years is but a blink in time essentially an instant, if you will.   One Billion years may be a huge amount of time to humans and mankind but to God, with regards to eternity it is but, essentially, immediate.

What I'm trying to say is that although we can only go by human reasoning, because we are human, there are things beyond that which we can conceive or understand and for that reason the Bible is silent in many areas and there are many things that just have to be taken on faith or just disbelieved or accepted.

______

Same generic answer that's always given.

Bible says God/Jesus loves his children beyond measure. Love is not hard to conceive or understand. What's hard to conceive or understand is how someone who's supposed to love you, allow those terrible things when He has the power to stop it or not allow it in the first place. I wouldn't call that love at all.

Let homosexuals shack up together, buy a home together, give each other their POA, insure each other, will all their possessions to each other and to heck with the rest. If they don't like it, to bad. I don't care anymore. I'm tired of their whining and attacks, now they can go tell it to someone who cares. That is if they haven't chased them all off.
