BOOO to Wal-Mart. The wife and I have really enjoyed shopping the local Aldi's lately. Just an idea good fresh cheap produce and veggies. All of their flour, meal etc is top quality. Their employees actually seem as if they enjoy their jobs and willing to go out of their way to find what you need. Thursday for instance they had strawberries for .49 a container. COMPARE this to Wal-Mart. Try getting them for .49 cents there and they will laugh in your face. Anyway hooray to Aldi's and BOO to Wal-Mart.

The fruit and vegetable prices this week are phenomenally low.  The quality is high.  Strawberries are from FL and absolutely delicious.  I also bought the leanest corned beef I have ever purchased.  It shrank much less than many I have purchased elsewhere.  A little salty, but I will not salt side dishes..And where's that Reuben?

Yesterday they had 3 pounds of onions for 39 cents and nice heads of cauliflower for 89 cents, yellow onions for only 39 cents for THREE POUNDS (!) and 2 pounds of carrots for 39 cents.  They must be losing money on some of these, but hey, that is their choice and my gain. Love dem veggies! I bought 6 pounds of the strawberries.  They were good ones, too--not those oversized genetic monsters most common around here with too much white pulpy stuff on the inside.

ALDI has a "Multi-grain Crisp" that is competitive with the overpriced Frito Lay "Sun Chips" at about a dollar a bag cheaper than the Sun Chips. Their avocados are a larger grade than other stores around here but are still cheaper.

ALDI RULES! and Food World sucks!
